BROWN SANTA 5K!! 38:40 my best time yet!!
I mostly walked and ran just a tiny bit.
I walked really fast. The course had a lot of hills.
It was fun! I am excited about March 1st.

I ran/walked the trail around the Costco shopping center.
For those who want to know - one lap is 1 1/2 miles. I found the manager of the place and he told me. So we did three laps, 12.5 minute miles when is better then I did on Monday.
I am doing the Brown Santa 5K this Sunday with my firefighter friend and her station. I am doing it just for fun (and walking) just to see what it is like. I have never run in a race or even been to one to watch. I have to know what to expect. I am doing the fun run and not the chip time so I will time my self.
I am taking tomorrow off. If you are running outside tomorrow bundle up! It's gonna be chilly!

I ran a lot on the treadmill but my time does not reflect. What's up with that?
Anyway I am running on a trail tomorrow with my firefighter friend.

3.1 miles 41:42 My best time yet!
I went with a friend who is a Firefighter (so in good shape) and a runner.
She helped me a lot. She does 30 seconds hard run 90 seconds race walk.
We did that twice during our walk/run until I could not do it anymore.
Feels good to run again!
I downloaded Pinks new song. That is a good one to move to!

I Did It - I am freezing

And my time is.... about 46 minutes. I was able to run most of it. I think I'll be able to do better after a few more runs. I had shin fractures a few years ago from running and I didn't want to kill myself on the first day.

It was dang scary running in the dark on Beckett. I hated running past the park! But when I stepped outside I had the most beautiful view of Orion. God gave me a great gift there!

Ready to RUN

First of all - Hello again ladies...I am glad to be a "true" part of your group now. :) Yesterday was the first time in a few weeks that I got out and walked/ran (not sure on the distance) but did it for about an hour. I still need to work on the running with a stroller part of my "training."

Saturday 11/15 3 miles

OK  so I finally did it.  Walk/ run and almost puked in 40 min.   Yea!!  I'm so excited I pushed myself to try.  But for lunch I had a huge Philly cheesesteak  sandwich.  No my best choice as of yet.  Next time I will take it lighter on the food before attempting to kill myself.

It was windy and chilly and very hard for me today. My lips are chapped, my nose is running, my throat is dry and whine whine whine.

Wed/Th

Ok we're doin' it... I got up at 5:30 this morning to workout without Jon being home! Yay me. I am tired at this point, but he is finally home tonight. I am planning on running on Monday morning. Jessie - I can't see your post about your time, but I did see Teresa's at 48 min. Kandi? Oh, and Mandy's gonna join us. She is brave. That baby is still teeny, and she started running last week!

Did you guys work out today? V and Z are at school, and T just went down for a nap. I'm gonna go do my thing. March sure seems like a long time away.

I just checked out the race - did you guys know it's going to be on a Sunday morning?
